Verified ReviewerPoor Service and Incorrect service done!
I told the lady who waited on me that I needed AC service/add Freon. She took it upon herself to ASSUME THAT I WANTED AN OIL CHANGE!
When I left I noticed my AC was not getting cold and that There was nothing on The receipt regarding the AC service. When I went back to the store less than 5 minutes, I told the female that I specifically said I needed an AC service. The female person who waited me was said You said the same thing! She was rude and did not want to acknowledge She had made a mistake!
I asked for the Manager, and he had Really nasty attitude and absolutely terrible customer service. He Was very standoffish and did not to assist the situation At all. If they had looked in the system they would have seen that the last time I was at KWik Kar that I had an AC service The last time is there on 9/25.
I was at 149k and was 3k away from getting an oil change and if they actually looked at my sticker it had 152k on the sticker. I have the receipt that shows all the services that I had at Kwik Kar in that last year, which I will attach!

Where do I even begin? Several months back, I went to this location for a simple oil change. At the time, I pointed out that my breaks were squeaking - this was the biggest mistake ever! The main tech, Isaac, said it was the front brake pads and rotors. I had pointed out to them that Infiniti had replaced the back brake pads less than a year ago. I went along and had them perform the work for the front pads and rotors. After the work was performed, my vehicle continued to squeak.
I brought the vehicle back to inform them of the issue; at that point, they stated that it is now the rear brake pads and rotors that needed to be replaced. This was my second biggest mistake! Frustrated with the situation and not wanting to continue with the squeaking sound, I had them replace the back pads and rotors. I got the vehicle back, and the squeak sound still persisted!
Upon bringing the vehicle back to point out the issues, they inspected the vehicle and said it was the rear e-brake that was causing the squeak. While the vehicle was being inspected, Isaac decided to replace the e-brake without my consent. He came back into the store and said I had to pay for the e-brake. I got into a huge argument with him for doing this without my permission. Isaac continued by stating that if I didn't pay for the e-brake, it would be removed from the vehicle and the squeaking sound would continue.
At this point, I spoke to the manager about this crooked occurrence, and the manager somehow convinced me to pay half the amount and stated that the next oil change was on him. He also said that if the squeaking still continued, he would assure me he would take care of the problem at no additional cost.
As you can imagine, after being reeled in this far, you feel like you have no choice but to see it through. I went ahead and paid for the e-brake, and guess what? You guessed it! The noise still continued. From then on, I went to the shop once or twice per week for about 2 months. Each time it was for the squeak sound. They tried 'replacing the pads and rotors several times.' It got to a point where Isaac, the supervisor, admitted to the back rotors not being replaced when I had originally paid for them.
I was beyond shocked to hear these words come out of his mouth, as he said it so casually like he knew these types of things happen all the time.
He stated that he told the owner that the car would continue to squeak if the rotors were not replaced. Isaac said 'I'm not sure why the owner is like that, it isn't like it's costing him anything.' I am still in shock as he is telling me all of this. Many things crossed my mind, such as calling the owner out, but Isaac said 'look, I'm going to replace everything again, just don't bother saying anything to him, just deal with me directly and we'll take care of it.'
Confused on whether or not to call out the owner on this, I left it alone as I just wanted the work to be done and wanted my car to be right. Mind you, I had been arguing with them this whole time and even asked for a refund several times, so I could just take my car elsewhere. They kept giving me the runaround and deflecting the refund request.
Fast forward to 7/27/24, I took my car back for them to continue working on it. Isaac says 'sound is now coming from the front.' He asked me to bring the car back on 7/29/24, as the rotors and pads won't be available until then. I got my keys and drove directly to the car wash. As I'm drying my car, I noticed my front driver-side wheel had been severely curved, checked, and slit my new Yokohama tire. I was beyond shocked to say the least! I just knew they had caused the damage as there was no previous damage prior to them test driving my car.
I went back right away and got into a huge argument with them, as they tried to deny being responsible for the damages. (Not enough room to complete the story.) Bottom line, I was denied the chance to speak with the manager, I called the police and filed a report. I'm going through corporate, filing a civil lawsuit. I will reach out to news stations to report. The cop who came out to take the report said he has received many complaint calls about them. That should say it all!
I would like for someone to reach out to me ASAP! I would like for the corporate/regional office to get involved before escalating to higher set remedies.

Verified ReviewerHorrific communication and service
Zero repair commitments were adhered to. I dropped the vehicle off for a repair that was supposed to take 2 hours (being first in line), and 3.5 hours later, nothing had been done. The manager is completely lacking, blamed everyone else, and is incapable of communicating in a business manner.

Verified ReviewerBunch of crooks
They rip off the disabled, elderly, and especially women. They break things on your car then try to get u to pay more.
I actually talked to the district attorney Kim ogg face to face about what they did to me in March she had an officer from hpd go and talk to them and they lied to the cop. I've got my receipts from these crooks but I couldn't get any help from cops they wouldn't even file a report!
But these pieces of garbage know this so they will keep ripping people off until we stop them! I'm a disabled white man so I was a target for these people!

Verified ReviewerBecause of the completely unacceptable lack of service and actually everything about the way your location handled our business
This is too long and too many issues that need to be addressed with the way we were treated and the final outcome. Briefly, we were lied to numerous times and excessively overcharged.
We were quoted a price, many things went wrong during the service and at time of payment, we were charged a completely different price.
And. Whats worse is we went and bought the parts AFTER your tech said none were available, in town, so we would have to wait another day. We found the filter 4 blocks away, from your location. I went and bought the part, delivered it to the shop and instead of my bill going down..
he tried to charge me an additional 100
Worst example of service and professionalism I have witnessed!
I want a conversation with customer service and I want this made right.
Our entire military family has used Kwik Kar for our automotive service needs since we moved to Texas. If this is not resolved, we will never be back.
Thank you.

Vehicle is not working properly!
Went in for help with my brake lights only. Was told no problem but I also need some flushing brake and oil line.
Ok, $400 dollars. Drove my car off the lot and in a matter of a few miles. Car started smoking and losing power and eventually brakes lock. Took the car back at lease 3 times and they told me each time the car was fix.
Originally this started Friday 9/21/24 and today I tried to take my Grands kids to school and it happened again. I want my $400 dollar back for breaking my car.

Bad customer service
Invoice # 552520. Transaction #.
240916****2520 Date 9/16/2024. Front desk lady was an *** very rude .
Ask me not to come to Kwik Kar without money to pay for services . After I paid for services .
Rude Manager ordered me to sit down!
I have been going to the location on El Dorado and Hardin in McKinney for many years. Until today, the customer service there has been great.
All the previous employees are gone. Alex is the new managers name. After sitting waiting for about 10 minutes listening to music coming from the TV in the waiting room and at the same time music coming from the other TV in the kids area - I got up and asked an employee nicely if they could turn one of them down. 10 more min went by and the Manager, Alex walked back to the kids area where I had gone to sit so I could not hear the lobby music.
I was looking for the volume at the moment he approached. There were no children present. He ordered me to go back to the front and SIT DOWN! Who yells at a 66 year old female customer like that?
I was simply annoyed with listening to 2 different sources of music. He could have easily remedied the situation.
Very poor customer service. I left after my oil change and did not let them do the inspection, never ever to return to any Kwik Kar.
User's recommendation: Go anywhere but Kwik Kar
The oil chànge was not done correctly and the car is damaged and needs repair
The company needs to pay to have my sons car fixed. The car is not driveable due to the oil change not being done correctly
How is this company still open?
I went to get a tune-up at Kwik Kar, 101 E Butler St, Wylie, TX 75098. I had brought my own OEM spark plugs to be proactive.
The mechanic, who was honestly a complete idiot, only replaced the spark plugs, with no diagnostic or service, and demonstrated no integrity. Now, this so-called certified mechanic can see and hear the engine misfiring. He politely pulls the car around and says nothing about the misfiring and failing engine with the check engine light on. He did replace the spark plugs but left the issue unresolved.
I called the next day, and he said I did not ask him to run a diagnostic. I asked him how he knew what materials to use for a tune-up without a diagnosis. This 'brilliant' guy said, 'You gave me spark plugs.' SMH. This place is obviously a scam franchise.
My bank, thank God, will give me my money back. I strongly advise never to go to Kwik Car as they can not be trusted.
- Conveniently located
- Integrity of employees
Preferred solution: The employee should either be trained or removed. I recorded the call with the mechanic if needed.

Verified BuyerService damaged my vehicle
My daughter (18yo) took her car to Kwik Kar mansfield location off of Broad street 2/18/23 for an oil changed. She was charged $142.37 for an oil change!
I work a lot so I had her go there hoping they would take good care of her vehicle. Bc my family had used them before. Not knowing until she started having issues with her car that the oil was low. I checked it and noticed it was extremely low.
I immediately had her park and not drive it. Then drove my vehicle to buy oil for the car. Filled to its proper level. Then took the car back to kwik kar.
As soon as we pulled up and I stepped out of the car with receipts in hand. The manager approached me asking how he could help me. I explained the situation about how she had been driving the car without oil unknowingly and this was right after she had the oil change done on the car. He apologized and took the car back and did an inspection acknowledging that it was their mistake and they was going to fix it.
It was leaking from drain plug from what he told me. At this point there was no need to be concerned. I asked him (manager) if it was fixed. He says yes we got it Fixed.
I said so no more leaking. He said again it was fixed NO Leaking. So we left and the car seemed fine. A couple weeks later she is driving home from work which is only 9miles away.
The car broke down, we had to have it towed home. At first we thought it was the key fob bc it was missing the chip. So we replaced that. And Had to get it programmed.
Which was another issue bc the car would not start, so it could not be programmed. So I was told it needed an Ecm. Bought a new one. Had to take it to the dealership bc I was told they have to program it.
Which is where I was told the motor was seized from lack of oil. The estimated repair is 10k at the dealer!! I Just bought this car is in October and was fixing all the lil things so shed have a reliable car for college. When I purchased it only had 165k miles on it.
She barely got to drive it due to needing it to pass inspection for CAT. Converter. Then it broke down due to the mistake made by whoever the employee was at this location. Which Has already assumed responsibility when they took it back to redo the oil change.
Now they (manager) are saying they are not liable for the damages. They are not wanting to fix what damages they caused. Their Reason was due to the vehicle being driven more than 12k miles. The vehicle has 167k on it as it sits.
It was at another establishment I wont name here, two weeks after looking for estimate on the CATs and odometer read 165k. This was in March 23 I have receipts to prove. But some how they put on my daughters receipt that the odometer reads 157,252 to be exact on 2/18/23 at Kwik Kar Mansfield location. I have proof the odometer reading inputted on my daughters receipt is incorrect.
Ive called the corporate office number multiple times and no answer. Left messages as well. And no call back. No one has reached out to me to even find out what is going on.
I went to the location and I was told by a supervisor , not even the manager that originally told me it was there fault and redone the oil change after the damage was already done. unfortunately they are not liable bc the since oil change was done 12k miles before. Which is false bc it was not driven and was broke down in front of my home for atleast 2 almost three months. And its been the the clay cooley Nissan dealership for the last 3months.
Now the dealership is threatening to charge storage fees as well. This is a nightmare!
I cant believe Kwik Kar prey upon my young daughter overcharging and ultimately destroying her car! She is now in college her vehicle has been down since March!!

Soooo took my 2020 F150 crew in for a FULL SYNTHETIC oil change. $150 cuz I used a credit card
I asked the Assistant Manager what the expected life expectancy is.
5000 miles
Sez I That doesnt make sense! 5000 miles she says again That doesnt make sense. Most Sunthetic oils have between 7500 and 10000 mile expectancy. Frustrated by this old Vet she goes into the bay to tell someone I am arguing, or something.
When she comes back she says Well you can just go till the vehicle says you need an oil change.
Im not gonna argue with an idiot!
ASSISTANT MANAGER REALLY?
A simple internet query indicates Synthetic Oil has a life expectancy between 10000 and 15000 miles.
Is this a DECEPTIVE Business practice? Based on this and other pages I am left to wonder!
Ford oil changes begin to look like a better choice!

Verified ReviewerDeceptive
I quit going here years ago. However my partner this day took her car in to get an oil change.
Shortly after leaving the check engine light came on and the car was running rough. When she got home I checked the oil after letting it sit for about 1 hour. I noted that there was no oil in the car. She just got it changed though how could that be.
I asked her where she took it and she told me to KwikKar in Watauga. I told her at that time to never go back there again. Sure enough there was no oil in the car there was no leak of oil anywhere it just wasnt filled after the oil change. Also it was recommended she have the transmission fluid flushed and changed and she declined.
What is funny though after her visit the car was shifting hard. Now it is a sealed system but I wonder why all of the sudden that is happening after her visit to you. I am so discussed I couldnt even bring myself to bring it back so you could so call fix it. Never again with this family.
PLEASE dont go there they seem to pray on women they think do not know about cars. Shame on you.

Verified ReviewerCharged for things I didn't ask for or agree to!
I took my truck in for an oil and filter change. Attendant mentioned dirty cabin filter and low coolant.
Also mentioned differential hadn't been changed in a while. NO mention of time or cost. An hour and a half later I was presented with a bill for 632!!! I was charged for radiator flush, brake fluids, coolant flushing, all kinds of things I didn't ask for or approve.
None of these things were even mentioned! As a matter of fact, he told me my brakes looked great. I explained that the truck was completely overhauled 6 months ago, and all it needed was oil and filter change; go ahead and change out dirty cabin filter and top off the antifreeze. Asked for manager and all I got was the attendant who was very hostile and told me he had mentioned these things needed to be done and I agreed.
I agreed to no such thing AND my 30 year old son was a witness to when attendant mentioned the above couple of things. He finally took 25 off the bill, but that was it. I ended up having to put the bill on my credit card so I could get my truck back. I've been going there for 4 years now, and have never had this problem.
This new attendant was looking to make money and hold my truck hostage! Corporate doesn't answer. No one cares!
It's infuriating!!! I want my money back!!!
User's recommendation: Rip off! Don't go here!!!
